ALISON GOATE, DPhil

Alison Goate is the Chair of Genetics and Genomic Sciences and Professor of Neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Director of the Ronald M. Loeb Center for Alzheimer’s Disease. Her laboratory identifies genes causing inherited neurological disorders amyloid precursor protein and presenilins in Alzheimer's disease, microtubule associated protein and progranulin in frontotemporal dementia and TDP43 in ALS. Her laboratory utilizes genomic-wide approaches to integrate genomic and epigenomic data with genetic data to identify novel genetic causes of AD.
