YAIMA LIGHTFOOT, Ph.D.

Yaima Lightfoot is a BNDC Institute Senior Research Scientist with over 18 years of preclinical research experience in the fields of neuroinflammation, autoimmune disorders, and cancer. Her current role specializes in Alzheimer’s Disease drug discovery, applying her expertise in immunology and neurodegeneration to advance novel therapeutic approaches. She earned her Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbiology from the University of Florida.
